The game is an updated version of the original Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?, featuring enhanced graphics, sound effects, and additional control schemes, such as joystick support for computer platforms. You start out as a rookie detective whose job is to track down a crop of thieves stealing the world’s most precious treasures. After each assignment briefing, you’ll be given a deadline to capture the thief that stole the artifact using clues dealing with your knowledge of geography.
Sign your name up, then listen to the chief give you details about the suspect and the loot stolen by them, the location where the suspect was last seen, and the deadline by which you have to apprehend the suspect by. Question witnesses and contact informants to get information on the next location that the suspect headed to, as well as any information that could lead to a warrant. (You cannot arrest the suspect without one.) Determining where to go next will require research on your part, as everyone you question will reveal places, not cities that appear on the travel map.

There have been 19 sweeps in World Series history, with the most recent coming in 2012 when the Giants took out the Tigers in four games. This is it. Tonight’s game between Texas A&M and Tennessee will determine the 2024 Men’s College World Series national champion. The series is tied 1-1 after the Aggies won Game 1, 9-5, and the Vols secured a 4-1 win with a late rally in Game 2. When All-American outfielder Braden Montgomery was lost for the season due to a broken ankle he suffered during game 1 of the College Station Super Regional against Oregon, Texas A&M called on sophomore Kaeden Kent to step into the lineup. At the time, he hadn’t started a game since May 10 and had just 77 at-bats on the season.

The New York Mets finished the regular season with a franchise-best record of 108–54, winning the National League East division by 21+1⁄2 games over the division rival Philadelphia Phillies. They then won a tightly contested 1986 National League Championship Series against the Houston Astros, 4 games to 2, clinching the series with a 7–6, 16-inning win in Game 6. On July 19, Mets’ infielder Tim Teufel and pitchers Rick Aguilera, Bobby Ojeda, and Ron Darling were arrested after fighting with policemen outside a bar in Houston. Just three days later, the Mets played a game in Cincinnati that saw Ray Knight, Darryl Strawberry, and Kevin Mitchell get ejected, forcing starting catcher Gary Carter to play third base and the Mets to play a pitcher in the outfield, with lefty Jesse Orosco and right-hander Roger McDowell alternating between the pitcher’s mound and the outfield as needed. Despite the adversity, the Mets won the game, 6–3 in 14 innings, on a three-run homer by Howard Johnson.
Boston went 95–66 during the season, winning the American League East division by 5+1⁄2 games over their biggest nemesis, the New York Yankees, marking the first time since 1904 that the Red Sox and the Yankees finished first and second in the standings.
Aware of Wilson’s speed, Buckner tried to rush the play. As a result, the ball rolled beside his glove, through his legs, and into right field, allowing Knight to score the winning run from second base.
After being so rudely interrupted from above, the Red Sox scored in the first on a double by Dwight Evans and added another in the second on Marty Barrett’s RBI single. Dar-ryl!” Darryl Strawberry started the home fifth with his second walk of the night and – just as he’d done in the second inning – he stole second. On the next pitch Ray Knight singled through the middle and Strawberry crossed the plate to cut Boston’s lead in half. Mookie Wilson singled to right field and Knight took third with no one out when Evans bobbled the ball. That proved key since Danny Heep, batting for Rafael Santana, bounced into a double play that tied the game. It marked the first time, other than 0-0, that a 1986 World Series game was tied.
